Are we getting a new airport on the West side of town? I would bet you could land a plane on US HWY 67... you know on the "dragstrip"... no that's not an aircraft hanger... that's Morgan Time Machines! See the new Business page for the complete article.

I would like to include in santaannanews.com those servicemen and women from Santa Anna that are serving our country. If you know or have someone that is serving our country please send me some information, service portraits, and/or pictures in service: news@santaannanews.com.
I also will be putting together an article featuring college back-to-school students. If you have a student from Santa Anna that will be heading back to college or technical school this Fall please e-mail their name, parents' and relatives' from Santa Anna names, school, classification, field of study, and a photo if available.
Well I hope that you got to attend "Meet the Mountaineers" at Mountaineer Stadium on Friday night. If you did then this probably won't be news to you and if you didn't make it then we missed you.
There was a pretty good turn out, and the coaches kept it pretty short and simple, which I liked. I am not much of a "Bad to the Bone" fan. I prefer a little less talk and lot more walk.
The athletes were all ready and the coaches had most of them there and did a great job of introductions; the band and director did a good job of playing the Fight Song and Alma Mater; and the Cheerleaders were great; and the Booster Club did a great job with refreshments.
I am sure that the Booster Club could use more help and if you have a student athlete or band member then you should be active in it. I don't mean that you should attend all the meetings and all, but when they need help and your name is on a work schedule please do your part and show up without having to begged or threatened.
