Coleman County 2012 Livestock Show Little Britches
The Little Britches Division of the Coleman County Livestock Show is for exhibitors that are too young to show in the regular show. These exhibitors range in age from 2 to 8 years old. The show is held during a break in the pig show.
This year lambs, goats, pigs and steers were exhibited by the youngsters. All participants get their turn in the show ring and are interviewed.
This year, Judge Rebel Royall assisted Sarah Beal(Little Britches Superintendent), in the show ring. All participants received a blue ribbon and a dollar coin for their efforts.
The participants in the 2012 show included: Keaton Beets, Kevin Farrell, Christopher Rouse, Abigail Bible, Nevaeh Harwell, Jenna Jamison, Braden Barnett, Jaylie Steffey, Payton Garrett, McCall Garrett, Benjamin Olivares, Braxton Barker, Creed Vineyard, Jonathan Salazar, Ciana Salazar, Haylee Triplitt, Cole Fikes, Ty Laws, Levi Dunlap, Elle Jo Shields, Morgan Mattes, Alexis Bingham, Sadie Edington, Zane Moore, Allie Moore, Dayden Hunter and Arena Turner. With these young exhibitors, the future of our livestock show looks bright.

2012 Coleman County Livestock Show
There are a total of 128 exhibitors in this year’s show with 284 animal projects, which include 30 steers, 81 lambs, 41 goats, 116 hogs and 16 pens of rabbits. Our numbers are down a bit but we will have a quality show as always. Come out and watch the show and support our county youth. These students have spent lots of time and expenses on their animal projects. There is no admission charge for the livestock show.
Throughout its history, the Coleman County FFA and 4-H Livestock Show has become quite well known, mainly because the entire county works together to make it successful.
Again, this year we have around 380 entries, and the premium list and other cost of the show will be about $4,000.00. This cost has been met in years past by individuals and firms like you who take pride in the youth of the county and in the magnitude and quality of the show. We’re depending on your support again this year!
Your assistance will be appreciated. Contributions range from $5.00 to $50.00 from individuals and $25.00 to $150.00 from businesses and professional concern.
The show and sale will be on January 14, 15 & 16, with the sale on January 17, 2012. Since time is drawing near, Anyone who wants to donate can bring it to the Chamber of Commerce at 218 Commercial, Coleman. Please make checks payable to Coleman County Livestock Show Association.
Please help us maintain the reputation of this very worthwhile youth activity.
Sincerely,
Sarah Beal
